As part of our series offering you an inside look at the team behind Secret Surgery, today we’ve got the lovely Sara Bouamra here to answer a few questions and show us what she’s really like! Sara is a Patient Care Manager for Secret Surgery in Manchester.
What’s the biggest challenge in your job as Patient Care Manager? “My biggest challenge is making contact – so many people give bogus phone numbers, and never answer the emails. We can only help if people give the correct details.”
What’s the best part of your job? “The best part of my job is watching the transformation of my clients, seeing them gain confidence, rebuild their lives is reward enough for me.”
Do you have a favourite procedure? “I love my weight loss clients and the plastics that come after to rebuild their bodies .. having struggled with weight myself for 30+yrs I totally understand where they have come from and support them 100% in every step of their journey.”
If you hadn’t become a patient care manager, what do you think you would have been? “If I wasn’t a Patient Care Manager now for Secret Surgery I would be working with the unemployed helping them back to work through gaining workskills qualifications as part of my coaching and mentoring role as an ADI.”
If you were going to treat yourself to some surgery, what would you get done? “Personally I would love to have my lower legs reshaped – I would give anything to have ankles instead of the dreaded “cankles” – I could be tempted to a Tummy Tuck also after seeing in person the fantastic results and how fast the healing process is.”
What do you do to relax after a long day? “If I’m out on the road visiting clients on my way home I love to go to the gym, work-out for an hour, then spend another hour relaxing in the jacuzzi, saunas and steam room before heading home – this enables me to switch off from being a life coach, clearing the internal chatter going round my head left over from my clients and become “mum” again. If I’ve been working at home, a hot luxurious oil infused bath with candles, a romantic meal and an early night!”
